Seneca Foods is one of North Americas leading providers of packaged fruits and vegetables with facilities located throughout the United States. Our high quality products are primarily sourced from over 2000 American farms. Seneca holds the largest share of of the retail private label food service and export canned vegetable markets distributing to over 90 countries. Products are also sold under the brands of Libbys Aunt Nellies READ Seneca Farms Green Valley CherryMan Paradise Pennant and Seneca labels including Seneca snack chips. Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.
Seneca Foods is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee operations at our Geneva NY facility. The ideal candidate has Food Manufacturing experience knowledge of processing/packaging equipment and 5-10 years of progressive plant supervisory/management experience in a production environment. Essential Job Functions:
- Organize direct control develop and evaluate the resources of the plant location to effectively meet or exceed objective standards for product quality employee safety food safety customer service andcompetitive cost in compliance with existing regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Cultivate ideas motivate employees originate solutions and solve problems that occur with people or operations at the plant location.
- Provide detailed short/long range capital plans in support of objectives.
- Develop and execute individual production schedules to meet company goals.
Qualifications:
- Good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated supervisory skills.
- Strong Organizational and problem solving skills.
- 4 year college degree preferred.
- Certifications in both Thermal Processing and Container Closure Control School along with Better Process Control School preferred.
- Ability to speak conversational Spanish preferred.
Salary based on skills abilities and experience from 120K-130K.
