The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a designated book of commercial insurance business. This role includes maintaining strong relationships with clients underwriters and producers; handling policy renewals and changes; and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. The position requires a thorough understanding of commercial lines coverages carriers and industry regulations.
Client Service & Relationship Management:
Act as the main point of contact for assigned commercial clients.
Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries regarding coverage billing and policy changes.
Foster long-term client relationships through proactive communication and service.
Policy Management:
Handle renewals endorsements certificates of insurance audits cancellations and reinstatements.
Review policy documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure all client files are maintained and documented in the agency management system.
Marketing & Quoting:
Work with producers and underwriters to market new and renewal business.
Obtain quotes and negotiate with carriers to secure optimal coverage and pricing.
Prepare and present proposals to clients.
Account Maintenance:
Review accounts for coverage adequacy and recommend enhancements or additional coverages.
Maintain knowledge of carrier appetite guidelines and underwriting procedures.
Ensure compliance with agency procedures and industry regulations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with producers account executives and other team members to support agency goals.
Assist in onboarding new clients and support cross-sell initiatives.
