Role Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and the IT team to oversee the code releases.
• Cross and merge the barriers that exist between software development testing and operations teams.
• Keep existing networks in mind as they design plan and test.
• Automate processes with the right tools and scripting languages.
• Manage incidents and effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
• Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures Linux/Unix administration and AWS.
• Strong experience with databases such as SQL MySQL Oracle and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java JavaScript Perl Ruby Python PHP Groovy Bash.
• Experience with project management and workflow tools like Agile Jira Scrum/Kanban.
• Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
• Knowledge of networking storage and virtualization.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

• Strong knowledge of application development life cycle (ALC).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IAC).
• Strong knowledge of configuration management.
• Strong knowledge of continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD).
• Experience with Backend as a Service (BaaS) is a plus.
• Familiarity with Elixir and headless CMS options.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS Google Cloud etc.
