Project Safety Manager

Summary
NGi is seeking a Project Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across multiple job sites and branches. This role is responsible for coordinating training ensuring compliance and advising on best practices to promote a safe and healthy work environment. The Safety Manager will conduct safety audits deliver training and partner with field teams to proactively identify risks and implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS contact for assigned regions/projects.
• Partner with superintendents to ensure safety requirements are met on all projects.
• Conduct regular job site safety audits and follow through on corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations identify root causes and share lessons learned.
• Develop and implement project-specific Safety Manuals.
• Ensure compliance with NGi Safety Policies GC requirements and federal/state/local regulations.
• Foster a culture of safety through strong relationships with GCs subcontractors and field teams.
• Support hazard planning for high-risk activities.
• Oversee safety of second-tier subcontractors.
• Manage safety documentation reporting and supply levels.
• Act as liaison with GCs subcontractors insurers unions and regulatory agencies.
• Provide coaching mentoring and conflict resolution within the safety team.
• Participate in Operations Safety Committees Foremens meetings and other teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a related field or 5 years of relevant field experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Safety Manager experience required.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to coach mentor and influence teams.
• Strong conflict resolution project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced noisy environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related safety software.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Set clear expectations and monitor team performance.
• Provide coaching and motivation to drive results.
• Resolve conflicts and administer discipline when needed.
