Description

Critical Care Registrar Major Regional Health Service

We are seeking Critical Care Registrars (PGY4) to join a busy well-resourced ICU team within a major regional trauma retrieval centre.

The Role
You will work as part of a dedicated critical care team providing high-quality patient-centred care across a 10-bed ICU/HDU service spread across two campuses. Youll manage a diverse casemix of critically ill adult and occasional paediatric patients under the guidance of experienced ICU consultants.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Direct clinical management and consultation for ICU/HDU patients
  • Active participation in trauma and retrieval cases
  • Contributing to quality assurance and safety initiatives within the department
  • Supporting and mentoring junior doctors
  • Engaging in education and training opportunities to enhance your professional growth

About You

  • MBBS or equivalent with current AHPRA registration (or eligibility)
  • PGY4 with significant experience in critical care (ICU ED or anaesthesia)
  • Paediatric and adult clinical exposure preferred
  • Strong teamwork communication and problem-solving skills
