Job Description
Job Opportunity: Physician - Hospitalist - OB in Fresno CA
Join a dynamic team at a prestigious medical center in Fresno California! This locum to permanent position offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive obstetrical care in a supportive Level 2 NICU hospital environment. Utilize advanced electronic medical records (EPIC) and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to exceptional patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Care for approximately 13-14 patients daily in rounds and clinic settings.
- Document patient care using EPIC electronic medical records.
- Work a schedule of five to six 24-hour shifts per month (7 AM to 7 AM).
- Participate in weekend shifts as required following the same 24-hour schedule.
- Average 4-5 deliveries per shift primarily vaginal with 25% C-sections.
- No on-call responsibilities associated with this position.
- Provide holiday coverage with applicable holiday pay premiums.
- Engage in quality care ensuring exceptional patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- 1-5 years of relevant practice experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in delivering an average of 4-5 deliveries per day.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active California medical license or current application in progress.
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory per facility requirements.
- Completion of NPDB Self-Query required.
- Disclosure of malpractice/license history during application.
