Position Title: Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager
Reports To: General Sales Manager / Dealer Principal
Department: Sales / Finance
The Automotive Finance Manager is responsible for securing financing offering F&I products ensuring compliance and maintaining profitability for the dealership. This position requires strong product knowledge sales ability and customer service excellence to build trust and maximize both customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
Offer and explain a full range of finance and insurance products (extended warranties GAP protection plans etc.) to all customers
Secure financing approvals through multiple lenders while maintaining competitive terms for customers
Review and ensure accuracy of all finance paperwork and contracts
Maintain strict compliance with federal state and local laws (e.g. Red Flags OFAC Truth in Lending etc.)
Collaborate with sales managers and sales consultants to achieve sales and finance goals
Monitor performance metrics product penetration rates and profitability to meet dealership targets
Train and mentor sales staff on effective finance product presentations
Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a 5-star ownership experience
Minimum 25 years of automotive F&I or finance experience
Strong knowledge of lending institutions and compliance regulations
Excellent closing sales and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask manage time effectively and thrive under pressure
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
High level of integrity and customer focus
Base salary plus commission-based pay plan (performance-driven)
