Job Description
Reporting to the Center Director acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking at the kitchen through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for cooking baking and food preparation
- Ensure safe food storage and disposal including maintaining temperature logs.
- Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs.
- Maintain the childrens allergy list regularly.
- Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies and replenishing dishware and cookware
- Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain appropriate food inventory
- Complies with all health regulations and the companys best practices
- Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule including dishwashing daily weekly and monthly duties
- Occasionally required to prepare food for field trips school-age programs and community events.
- Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time depending on the needs of the daycare centers.
What you need
- Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Require a clean criminal record check.
- Ability to push pull and lift to 50 pounds
