General Description:
The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
- Answers and routes all incoming calls from inside and outside of the hospital by PBX console or paging equipment.
- Provides physician answering service functions to include taking and communicating messages to physician by PBX console or paging equipment.
- Provides communication service between the hospital off-site facilities employees physicians and the general public.
- Assists with the maintenance of hospital phone directories and on-call lists etc.
- Operates the PBX console headsets and other related equipment.
- Performs light clerical duties as assigned.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area
Formal Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- No experience required. Minimum of 1-year experience with multiple telephone lines preferred.
