Job Summary
The Office of Residence Life seeks a Student Assistant to help in the office for. Position may continue to the summer or next school year if approved by the director. Duties will include answering the phone and emails making outbound calls to follow up with students who must complete housing or other forms creating documents with Microsoft Office programs (including Excel Word PowerPoint Publisher etc.) and other organizational and administrative projects. We are specifically hiring for the following shifts: Monday Thursday: 9am to 1pm Slightly different shifts may be possible and future semesters will have more flexibility if the position continues.
Minimum Qualifications
Current UP student Familiar with Microsoft Office programs Responsible and focused worker Self-motivated and creative Ability to follow directions work under supervision and independently Organized
Preferred Qualifications
Students with Federal Work Study in Financial Aid package preferred First or second year students preferred Existing familiarity with UP Residence Life Department and/or procedures so student employee can answer most inbound calls and emails on their own Prior customer service or administrative experience
