PROCUREMENT CONTRACT ANALYST
Salary may be negotiable within the range listed above based on position requirements and successful candidates qualifications subject to appropriate authorization.
OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
This recruitment will establish an open eligible list that will be used to fill current and future Procurement Contract Analyst opportunities. The eligible list established may also be used to fill positions in similar and/or lower classifications throughout the County of Orange.

THE OPPORTUNITY
TheCounty of Orangehas an exciting opportunity for aProcurement Contract Analyst. The selected candidate will have a range of responsibilities and tasks related to complex solicitations contract administration as well as oversight of procurement related programs. They will oversee contracts and procurement activities for various designated work units by strategizing coordinating and taking necessary actions to accomplish management goals. Additionally they will carry out analytical and administrative duties to ensure that their specific assignment adheres to all relevant policy/procedure government contract codes and other applicable statutes.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess experience in public or private sector procurement contracting and/or other related fields. The incumbent will demonstrate professional experience in the administration management and compliance oversight of commodities services professional services human services architect engineer and/or construction contracts or programs including but not limited to soliciting developing administering and monitoring contracts or related programs while ensuring compliance with local federal and state requirements.
In addition the ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge skills and abilities in the following core competencies:

SPECIAL REQUIREMENT
Please note Deputy Purchasing Agent certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

Application Appraisal Panel AAP (Weighted 100%)
An Application Appraisal Panel (AAP) of job knowledge experts will thoroughly screen and evaluate the application and supplemental questionnaire for job knowledge competencies and related experience described above. Only the most qualified applicants will move forward to the next step in the recruitment process or will be placed on the eligible list.
Based on the Departments needs the selection procedure listed above may be modified. All candidates will be notified of any changes in the selection procedure.
Eligible List
Once the assessment has been completed HRS will establish an eligible list of candidates. Candidates placed on the eligible list may be referred to a selection interview to be considered for present and future vacancies.
