Position Details:
Job Title: Mechanical Assembly
Location:Rochester NY
Hours: 6am-2:30pm Mon-Fri (some overtime)
Pay:$19.00-20.00/hr depending on experience
Duration:6 Month contract position with possibility of extension or conversion
Who Were Looking For:
Candidates with the ability to build noncomplex optical / electrical / mechanical sub-assemblies within quality requirements. This person should be reliable and detail oriented.
What to Expect as a Mechanical Assembler:
- Follow standard work processes as provided
- Assemble pre-fabricated parts / pieces from a stocked work cart
- Accurately record data
- Provide input or feedback during team discussions
- Engage with team members and work effectively with others
- Comply with all company policies & regulations
Qualifications for Success:
- HS Diploma or GED/HSE or 1 years of Manufacturing/Assembly experience
- Electrical or Mechanical Assembly experiencepreferred
- Familiarity with small hand tools
- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Be organized and have excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety lean manufacturing and process improvement is helpful
- Basic computer skills
