Overview:We are looking to hire a Senior civil/structural engineer for a national oil and gas operator in Doha must have a minimum of 10 years experience in Structural Design & Construction preferably in the in English is a Responsibilities:Conduct Civil/Structural Engineering activities throughout all stages of the assigned projectsCheck and review all project drawings and documents (civil structural specifications calculations and proposed materials) submitted by others in accordance with the project scope specifications applicable standards Participate and aid in projects pre-commissioning commissioning and Hand-over activitiesReview and evaluate the Contract Changes/Variation to approved guidelines and applicable codes standards and practices make recommendations for approval or rejection of technical deviationsReview and approve method statements developed by contracted organizations for scope compliance Liaise with contracted organizations to resolve technical issuesLead technical team and assist Senior Project Engineer for all technical matters related to the assigned projectsCoordinate with appointed Qatar Registered Consultant (QRC) responsible for construction management and construction supervision as requiredConduct evaluation of technical bid packages for scope compliancePlan and co-ordinate activities of a team of multidiscipline engineers for providing timely delivery of technical services to meet the project requirementsCo-ordinate engineering designs develop and review multi-disciplinary work-scopes for projects and other engineering activities Ensure that the work-scope is comprehensive and clearSupport the development of personal technical competency and skills and those of Co-workers Participate in structured training for Associate EngineersAbility to work in multi discipline/cultural environmentAbility to resolve technical challenges related to Civil/Structural Engineering work and adjacent discipline issuesRequirements:Bachelors Degree or Equivalent degree in Civil EngineeringMasters Degree in Structural Engineering preferredExcellent knowledge of engineering and structural design experienceProfessional Engineer registered with reputable international Professional Engineering Institution will be added advantageMinimum 10 years experience in Structural Design & Construction preferably in the OilMinimum 10 years experience in Structural Design & Construction in large buildings and civil/infrastructure projects including at least 6 years experience at Supervisory levelPrevious experience in water retaining structures and dewatering preferredGood knowledge in construction activities and project managementSkill / knowledge of International and Local standards including BS EN ASTM and QCS related to his area of expertiseExperience in projects pre-commissioning commissioning and Hand-over activitiesPossess good communication and presentation skillsGood knowledge of English both written and spokenComputer literate in mainstream MS Office products and structural design packagesBH-MS0857RequirementsWhere are you locatedWhats your nationalityWhat is your notice period; when can you engage this jobPlease only apply and press yes if you have read the requirements education experience and certifications and match Qatar
