Role Purpose:
The Technical Manager at 1-grid will be responsible for designing and implementing a best-practice development and operations environment while leading a diverse team of developers and systems administrators. The role requires crafting a clear technical vision providing strategic direction to executive management and taking ownership of the companys technical platform. The Technical Manager ensures that 1-grids systems are scalable secure and aligned with the businesss strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
& Team Development
oLead mentor and develop a technical department including developers contractors system administrators and network specialists.
oDrive a culture of innovation continuous learning and technical excellence.
& Partner Management
oBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
oEnsure that supplier services align with company goals and deliver value.
Contribution
oDefine and articulate a vision for how technology supports business strategy.
oCollaborate with managers across the business to ensure technology integrates seamlessly with business objectives.
oEstablish timelines for the development and deployment of technology solutions.
& Security
oEnsure all customer information is protected in compliance with data privacy standards.
oMaintain robust information security practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Development & Innovation
oIdentify product opportunities in collaboration with marketing cx and stakeholders.
oDrive the design and development of new online products and services.
oMaintain 1-grids competitive edge through adoption of new technologies and methodologies.

Required Competencies:
Knowledge & Skills:
oStrong project coordination and programme management skills.
oStrong understanding of Agile methodologies and software architecture.
oExpertise in open-source stacks (Linux MySQL) and virtualization (KVM Hyper-V).
oKnowledge of information security compliance standards and public cloud solutions.
oExcellent communication and leadership skills with high emotional intelligence
Experience:
oAt least 5 years experience in technology-focused roles (systems network development).
oOver 5 years of experience leading or managing technical teams of 10 members.
oPreference: Experience working in web hosting environments including migrations and service launches.
