- Leadership & Team Development:
- Lead mentor and develop the reverse logistics team managing all aspects of hiring training performance management and daily work direction in accordance with company policies.
- Process Optimization & Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to optimize all reverse logistics processes focusing on continuous improvement cost reduction efficiency and scalability.
- Analyze and improve warehouse design product flow and returns tracking systems to enhance operational performance.
- Performance & Financial Management:
- Own and deliver on departmental KPIs including annual cost targets and inventory accuracy.
- Utilize data analysis and reporting to monitor performance identify bottlenecks and support the budgeting and strategic planning process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with key stakeholders (Quality Inventory IT Customer Service) to standardize policies reduce product damage and ensure a seamless end-to-end customer return experience.
- Support the design implementation and integration of logistics systems (WMS ERP) tailored for reverse operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for returns associates and processes to ensure safety and service objectives are met while considering cost and asset utilization
- Oversee all points of RGA (Returns Good Authorization) process including close coordination with sales customer care and reserve logistics operations
- Work with Quality organization to track understand and coordinate activities on product returns (RMAs) and work with cross-functional team members to drive activities to address and reduce associated returns (e.g. product design changes customer support training aids etc.)
- Develop short and long term goals for reverse logistics department which improves customer satisfaction while maximizing product recovery
- Develop and maintain reporting metrics and presents data with a clear point of view so that insights can be used to help drive process and reverse logistics business strategy
- Lead cross-functional meetings to develop process improvements and system enhancements to facilitate the return and reverse logistics process
- Develop and execute continuous improvement cost savings processes across the reverse logistics network
- Collaborate with senior leaders & field operations across company to continually identify data-driven opportunities build cross-functional buy-in and commitment and deliver on innovative solutions to challenging operational problems
- Work with sales and marketing to streamline customer experience and reduce reverse logistics cost by establishing return good policies and assist with development of retail sales agreements
- Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
- Protect Chamberlain Groups reputation by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reading professional publications establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies.
- Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
- Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting developing engaging and retaining team members
- Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations monitoring and evaluating performance providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the companys policies
- Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings one-on-one meetings appropriate email IM and regular interpersonal communications
- Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission vision and values.
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Engineering Supply Chain or equivalent experience
Experience:
- 5 years experience working in an environment of Reverse logistics Supply Chain Management Finance Volume Planning Returns
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- High level of proficiency in Excel and data analysis
Other:
The pay range for this position is $86700.00 - $139725.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including but not limited to the position offered location education training and/or addition to base pay also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short-term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
