JOB SUMMARY: The Student Center Ambassador assists to supervise maintain a clean and inviting
environment and provide excellent customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent service to customers (students faculty staff and community
members) who visit the Student Center. - Student Center Events: Whenever there is an event the Student Center Ambassador
has to help out and make sure everything is left clean and organized. - Be sure to turn on the open sign if you are in the first shift and off if you are the last shift.
- You may not leave your work area until you check out.
- The desk in the Student Center is your work area. Your friends can come to greet you and
be there for a brief moment but you should not put chairs next to the desk while you are
working. - Turn on and off the TVs daily change channels and maintain volume levels. Keep the
TV controls in the closet. - There is a container under the desk with cleaning supplies for you to wipe the tables 30
minutes before you finish your shift and arrange all the furniture. - Make sure the games have the necessary items to be used and put them in the closet at the
end of the day. - Make sure Student Center is respected and maintained
- Keep Student Center clean (wiping tables cleaning windows and glass sweeping
floors dusting) as needed. - There should be no garbage or dirty tables at the beginning or ending of your shift.
- Floors must be swept before leaving each shift.
- Put all cleaning supplies away at the end of your shift.
- Make sure furniture is kept in an orderly manner.
- Maintain acceptable noise level.
- Close Student Center for Chapel on Tuesdays. Make sure you close at 10:50 a.m.
- Report suspicious activity to Campus Security or any emergency door alarm incidents.
- On Fridays collect all the game items put them in the closet and cover the large items with
the protective covers. - Minimum cell phone use
