We combine our editorial expertise with data and insights from across People Inc.s network to deliver top-quality budget-friendly content solutions to power clients websites apps marketing campaigns social channels and more.

Position Overview: Were seeking a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help generate new opportunities and expand our client base. Youll prospect qualify and set meetings for the Content Licensing teamand share feedback that informs how we go to market. The ideal candidate is curious resourceful and energized by researching industries and positioning solutions that fit.

The ideal candidate will be adept at prospecting cold calling and identifying potential partners interested in licensing content. Youll be supported by a collaborative group and youre expected to take initiative and operate independently after onboarding. Youre comfortable with phone outreach in addition to email social and video.

Travel to industry conferences and events will be an integral part of this role.

(What exactly is content licensing Heres a real world example. Lets say youre a health system looking for fact-checked medically-reviewed content to support patients on your digital portal. Instead of creating new content from scratch you can save timeand ensure premium qualityby licensing expert-crafted content from award-winning health brands such as Health and Verywell.)

In-office Expectations: This position is fully remote with no in-office requirements (might require coming into an office 1 or 2x a year). Remote with hybrid options for NYC and Burlington VT-based candidates.

About the Team:

This role reports to the Vice President of Content Licensing. The Content Licensing team is located in Burlington VT. The team is a close-knit group working in a hybrid environment sharing office space with the EatingWell brand. We are a small but mighty team and have a strong culture where every persons ideas and opinions are welcome and valued regardless of title. A perk of being a small team is that we are often invited to wear extra hats--contributing to the team in ways that allow everyone to stretch their skills and learn new things.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify research and engage prospective clients via phone email LinkedIn/social and events.

  • Build prospect lists informed by industry trends.

  • Craft targeted outreach that reflects and understanding of each prospects business and industry..

  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure alignment with our target customer profile.

  • Schedule appointments and demonstrations for the sales team.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity and pipeline records.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align strategies and optimize lead generation efforts.

  • Stay on top of industry trends to position People Inc.s content licensing solutions effectively.

  • Attend networking events conferences and tradeshows to build relationships and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Marketing Communications or equivalent experience.

  • 2-3 years of experience in sales development or a related role with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to connect effectively through Zoom meetings.

  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to distill messaging into concise efficient and respectful communications.

  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.

  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative fast-moving environment and can operate independently after onboarding.

  • Experience or knowledge from working in pharmaceutical healthcare and/or financial services industries is highly valued.

  • Willingness to travel to conferences and events as required.

Salary: New York: $60000.00 - $70000.00 Remote: $60000.00 - $65000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Incs total compensation package for employees.
