Job Summary

DIRECTOR NATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS
ABOUT YOU:
The Director National Partnershipsis responsible for leading and managing through teams or individually multiple industry channels inside Jostens college division while growing those channels at a level consistent with the Jostens annual revenue plan. The incumbent is responsible for leading the sales relationships with these critically important segments of the college business to deliver both short- and long-term sales objectives for the college business.
YOU WILL:
  • Lead the National Bookstore Partnerships with Existing and New Partners.
    Develop recommend and implement the overall growth strategy for the multi-year partnerships with the National Bookstore Partnerships (Follett B&N Slingshot TBC/Bibliu etc.)
    Lead the day-to-day corporate relationship with the national bookstore relationships
    Lead the training and implementation plan of all national bookstore programs for the field sales team (Area sales managers and Territory sales reps)
    Assist the field sales team in the conversion of specific accounts to deliver the overall revenue goals
    Work closely with internal functions (i.e. Marketing eBusiness Operations IT HR Supply Chain Management Finance Customer Service etc.) to drive performance and achieve growth objectives
    Identify new product and or segment growth opportunities
    Assist in executing a robust pricing strategy to retain existing and new business
    Manage and report on sales results market development sales negotiations and pipeline management
  • Lead the Mational For-Profit Partnerships with Existing and New Partners.
    Develop recommend and implement the strategy to bring the new multi-year partnerships to Jostens
    Lead the day-to-day corporate relationship with the For-Profit relationships
    Lead the training and implementation plan of all For Profit programs for the field sales team (Area sales managers and Territory sales reps)
    Work closely with internal functions (i.e. Marketing eBusiness Operations IT HR Supply Chain Management Finance Customer Service etc.) to drive performance and achieve growth objectives
    Identify new product and or segment growth opportunities
    Assist in executing a robust pricing strategy to retain existing and new business
    Manage and report on sales results market development sales negotiations and pipeline management.
  • Drive New Account Acquisition
    Identifying and engaging prospective clients
    Developing strategic outreach
    Presenting products/services and building relationships to achieve sales target
  • Typical/expected % of overnight travel: 50%
YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant management experience.
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration skills and experience.
  • Proven experience in sales business development and management with a successful track record in executing sales plans and strategies while effectively managing sales support functions and inspiring teams to achieve their goals.
  • Experience in leading multiple sales channels including employee non-direct / independent sales channels
  • Proven track record in revenue growth and profitability.
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills both written and verbal experience delivering presentations to all levels of the organization including large (500) groups.
  • Tenacious proactive entrepreneurial: Able to inspire passion and integrity; continuously seek and drive new ideas and better ways to accomplish tasks. Incumbent needs to be proactive and customer/market oriented.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members at all levels across the organization.
  • Ability to effectively utilize all prescribed reporting through measurement and budget management tools.
  • The ability to move a national account program from conception to implementation through various sales channels at the corporate level through our field sales representative organization is critical for success in this role.
