Office Location: Lemoyne PA
Coverage area:Cumberland Dauphin Perry Counties

Schedule:PRN home visits Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist You will:

  • Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty determining the need for continued therapy services
  • Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices
  • Teach alternative communication methods such as sign language to patients with little or no speech capability
  • Educate and guide healthcare team members patients and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions
  • Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patients response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program
  • A minimum of one (1) years work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist
  • Current unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance state regulations
