NDE Technician - Level II - Westlake, LA

Turner Specialty Services L.L.C. is looking for experienced NDE Technician - Level II for work in the Lake Charles LA area. Required duties are associated with NDE in accordance with the referencing code. Must be able to be certified in Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT) and Liquide Penetrant Testing (PT) at a minimum. If you do not currently hold the certification you must show certificate from classroom training and required field experience.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must possess excellent communication interpersonal organizational and problem-solving skills
• Drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Must be certified in UTTPTMTVT and XRF-PMI
• Per diem is not available for this position local candidates preferred
• Must have valid drivers license
• Must have TWIC card
• Documentation needed: NDE classroom training records OJT hours past certifications and resume

Functional Requirements:

• Conducts NDT inspections in various methods.
• Interprets and reports results of inspections.
• Provide support to Level III.
• Instruct and/or supervise trainees
• Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction.

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders scaffolds structures etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders scaffolds structures etc.; reaching in all directions handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30-50 lbs. from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing and understanding differences in the size shape and form of lines figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards
