Job Description

Senior Project Management Specialist

Company:

The Boeing Companys Argon ST is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist (Level 4) to join our team in Smithfield PA.

In this role the focus will be on utilizing the Program Management Best Practices to develop strategies and manage the execution of the work statement effectively efficiently with technical surety and the highest quality achievable. This person will also create opportunities for the Program and the Enterprise to grow the business in support of strategic goals and objectives. The program manager will also develop and maintain relationships with appropriate Customer leaders.

The lead must be able to communicate and manage across Boeing divisions sites and functional teams in order to effectively execute have strong business acumen and utilize problem solving skills to work collaboratively and effectively to build and enhance customer relationships.

A successful candidate has strong project management skills communicates clearly and concisely follows through and builds strong positive relationships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels. This role will work closely with the production value stream stakeholders including but not limited to design engineering manufacturing engineering operations industrial engineering supply chain and estimating.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Establishing and maintaining project cost schedule and performance as well as conducting recurring status meetings and providing regular performance reports/reviews to senior management and customers.
  • Lead and support proposal efforts for current and follow-on projects.
  • Ensure contractual requirements are communicated to the team and contract deliverables are submitted on time.
  • Communicate coordinate facilitate and enable positional and senior functional leaders in the business to make effective program level business decisions
  • Present complex information to leaders at all levels of business
  • Lead others and advise all phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception through completion
  • Partner with project leader and schedulers to develop and integrate project tasks schedules milestones - ensure resource alignment and drive mitigation to cost/quality/flow risks
  • Work to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers
  • Develop and lead weekly/monthly operating rhythm meeting cadence: capture decisions made actions taken and distribute minutes
  • Lead discussion on prioritization of improvement activities following the standard guidelines maintain project One List
  • Review and elevate issues and opportunities (RIO) related to rate readiness and running the business
  • Empower operations leaders with KPI metrics to make data-driven solutions/decisions
  • Lead in gathering information needed and deploying projects as part of site expansion and rate increase efforts
  • Author Program Directives from inception through execution

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience in project management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • 5 years of experience collaborating with senior management and/or executive leadership
  • 5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint Word Excel PowerPoint and Microsoft Project
  • 1 year of experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as: Open Plan Professional Microsoft Project Professional Enterprise Project Management or a similar tool
  • Experience managing projects in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • 10 years of experience in project management and the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience working on airplane programs or supporting the production system
  • Experience developing and integrating strategic projects plans and initiatives to meet business goals
  • Experience working in a multifaceted work environment to include managing multiple priorities

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Note: Basic relocation will be offered for eligible internal candidates.

Travel: Willing to travel up to 10%
