Job Description
Oliver Wyman is seeking an Intern to help strengthen its growing North American Life Actuarial Consulting practice. This individual will have the opportunity to join a firm with an aggressive growth mission. Additionally the Intern will have the ability to work alongside well-known senior-level consultants and gain broad industry exposure
among Oliver Wymans clients which include insurance companies reinsurance companies investment banks law firms regulators and private equity firms.
Projects include but are not limited to the following:
Insurance mergers & acquisitions sell-side appraisals and buy-side due diligence
Capital markets transactions - reserve financing (securitization) and reinsurance
Life and annuity product development and financial reporting
Creation and analysis of financial projections
Actuarial modernization and data transformation
Development and maintenance of intellectual capital
Litigation support
Client and industry presentations and case studies
Qualifications
Working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics Finance or a related field
Commitment to achieving ASA/ACIA designation
Strong technical knowledge (Moodys AXIS and RiskIntegrity MS Excel MS Access or other database software VBA or another programming language)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to quickly process and learn new concepts
