About the teamAbout the role
You will be working on a range of the different products we offer as a team including:
Buy and sell side operational due diligence i.e. has the business been performing well What could be improved to unlock further value for our client
Carve out and divestment support i.e. what does the business look like standalone what support and transition services will it need to function How can we help our clients execute the separation and ensure a smooth Day 1
Mergers & Acquisitions Integration i.e. how can our clients protect and grow value in an acquisition what is the right level of integration to achieve this and what does an effectively run integration programme look like
Performance improvement using our Rapid Value Creation methodology (including pre-deal post-deal or outside the deal channel) i.e. where might value lie in the business and how can we generate sustainable cost savings
Please note that this role will likely involve travel (e.g. site visits) which may be at short notice. Occasionally projects may also involve being based overseas for multiple weeks with trips home weekly or bi-weekly and candidates should be prepared for this.
Essential (and desirable) skills
Background in production management (e.g. a factory manager a shift manager or a team leader at a blue-chip manufacturing business)
Experience in one or more of the following: lean manufacturing manufacturing best-practice operational restructuring and cost reduction
Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of a function such as engineering procurement supply chain or manufacturing operations
Have the ability to quickly assess the performance of a business (or elements of it) and outline improvement opportunities based upon limited information and / or interactions with Management
Excellent verbal and written communications - all work will be in English often with native speakers
Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills - including attention to detail ability to present complex information in simple ways and an eye for slide / table aesthetics
Personality characteristics

Comfortable around C suite or senior stakeholders (predominantly native English speakers) as most of our work is done at this level; you dont need to be an extrovert but confidence definitely helps
Much of our work involves detailed analysis and report writing so its critical you can stay on top of these
Naturally curious; we love people who can apply logic and problem solving to difficult business problems
Significant interest in M&A / divestitures
