Job Description
As a Tractor (Diesel) Technician you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing a variety of tractors and other heavy-duty vehicles.
POSITION Diesel Mechanic
JOB LOCATION Caledonia WI
STARTING DATE Immediate
EMPLOYMENT TERM Direct Hire
EMPLOYMENT TYPE Full Time
WORK HOURS (SHIFT) 2nd shift flexible hours
STARTING PAY Depends on Experience $25 to $40
REQUIRED EDUCATION High School Diploma or GED
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 3 plus years of experience
Responsibilities
Diagnoses and repairs problems in the areas including all external component replacements and routine repairs
Inspect test and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers laptop computers gauges and diagnostic test equipment.
Perform annual vehicle inspections; perform preventative maintenance and other repairs as necessary.
Performs safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by DOT company and any other Federal State or Local regulations
Ability to learn and apply the following technical skills is needed to successfully complete the requirements of this position:
Batteries and electrical systems
Tire repair & replacement
Air Brake Diagnosis and Repair
Foundation brakes repair and replacement
Steering & suspension diagnostic/repair
Drivetrain component repair and replacement
HVAC diagnostics
ABS diagnostics and Repair
