The Department of Mathematics invites applications for a full-time visiting instructor position to teach developmental and foundational mathematics at La Sierra University. The position will commence on September 8 2025.
Prospective candidates will have an earned bachelors degree or higher in mathematics or a closely related area and some experience teaching basic skills mathematics at the college level. Familiarity with the Basic Skills mathematics program at La Sierra University good communication skills and demonstrated experience working as part of a multi-section course teaching team are preferred. .
The positions responsibilities include teaching developmental mathematics courses and teaching or coordinating mathematics laboratories that are a part of the Basic Skills mathematics program. The position will report to the Director of Freshman Mathematics and to the Chair of the Mathematics Department.
The successful candidate is expected to support the overall mission and vision of the University through excellence in teaching and advising students. A commitment to the principles of servant leadership working with undergraduate students and involvement in university and community service is required.

Salary and rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Minimum salary: $68640.
