Job Description
As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management Marketing Team youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Jobresponsibilities:
- Executescreativesoftwaresolutionsdesigndevelopmentandtechnicaltroubleshootingwithabilitytothinkbeyondroutineorconventionalapproachestobuildsolutionsorbreakdowntechnicalproblems
- Lead a team of high-potential software engineers delivering high quality software that achieves functional objectives
- Developssecurehigh-qualityproductioncodeandreviewsanddebugscodewrittenbyothers
- Identifiesopportunitiestoeliminateorautomateremediationofrecurringissuestoimproveoveralloperationalstabilityofsoftwareapplicationsandsystems
- Leadsevaluationsessionswithbusinessstakeholdersandinternalteamstodriveoutcomes-orientedprobingofarchitecturaldesignstechnicalcredentialsandapplicabilityforusewithinexistingsystemsandinformationarchitecture
- LeadscommunitiesofpracticeacrossSoftwareEngineeringtodriveawarenessanduseofnewandleading-edgetechnologies
- Addstoteamcultureofdiversityopportunityinclusionandrespect
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Implement data governance and best practices to ensure data quality and compliance with organizational standards.
Requiredqualificationscapabilitiesandskills:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
- Proficientin developmentskillJava21 and Python buildingintoAWS PublicCloudandCD/CDstrategies with over 10 years experience is an absolute must
- Hands onpracticalexperiencedeliveringsystemdesignapplicationdevelopmenttestingandoperationalstability
- Proficiencyinautomationandcontinuousdeliverymethods
- Experience in Spring Boot Kafka Kubernetes Splunk Dynatrace
- Demonstratedproficiencyinsoftwareapplicationsandtechnicalprocesseswithinatechnicaldiscipline(.)
- In-depthknowledgeofthefinancialservicesindustryandtheirITsystems
- Practicalcloudnativeexperience
- Exposure to building AI/ML driven applications to drive business goals.
- Track record of Continuous learning mindset
Preferredqualificationscapabilitiesandskills:
- Proficiency in Agile and SRE culture
- Working knowledge of one or more NoSQL database technologies preferably Apache Cassandra
- Working knowledge of one or more Messaging technologies preferably Apache Kafka
- Develop RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration across internal and external services.
- Experience with a public cloud (AWS preferred)
