Senior Java Engineer Lead Software Engineer

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management Marketing Team youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Jobresponsibilities:

• Executescreativesoftwaresolutionsdesigndevelopmentandtechnicaltroubleshootingwithabilitytothinkbeyondroutineorconventionalapproachestobuildsolutionsorbreakdowntechnicalproblems
• Lead a team of high-potential software engineers delivering high quality software that achieves functional objectives
• Developssecurehigh-qualityproductioncodeandreviewsanddebugscodewrittenbyothers
• Identifiesopportunitiestoeliminateorautomateremediationofrecurringissuestoimproveoveralloperationalstabilityofsoftwareapplicationsandsystems
• Leadsevaluationsessionswithbusinessstakeholdersandinternalteamstodriveoutcomes-orientedprobingofarchitecturaldesignstechnicalcredentialsandapplicabilityforusewithinexistingsystemsandinformationarchitecture
• LeadscommunitiesofpracticeacrossSoftwareEngineeringtodriveawarenessanduseofnewandleading-edgetechnologies
• Addstoteamcultureofdiversityopportunityinclusionandrespect
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Implement data governance and best practices to ensure data quality and compliance with organizational standards.

Requiredqualificationscapabilitiesandskills:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
• Proficientin developmentskillJava21 and Python buildingintoAWS PublicCloudandCD/CDstrategies
• Hands onpracticalexperiencedeliveringsystemdesignapplicationdevelopmenttestingandoperationalstability
• Proficiencyinautomationandcontinuousdeliverymethods
• Experience in Spring Boot Kafka Kubernetes Splunk Dynatrace
• Demonstratedproficiencyinsoftwareapplicationsandtechnicalprocesseswithinatechnicaldiscipline(.)
• In-depthknowledgeofthefinancialservicesindustryandtheirITsystems
• Practicalcloudnativeexperience
• Exposure to building AI/ML driven applications to drive business goals.
• Track record of Continuous learning mindset

Preferredqualificationscapabilitiesandskills:

• Proficiency in Agile and SRE culture
• Working knowledge of one or more NoSQL database technologies preferably Apache Cassandra
• Working knowledge of one or more Messaging technologies preferably Apache Kafka
• Develop RESTful APIs and ensure smooth integration across internal and external services.
• Experience with a public cloud (AWS preferred)
