You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Web & App Project Manager is a key member of the Wisconsin Athletics Brand Marketing team responsible for managing and optimizing and the Badgers app to deliver an engaging user-friendly and accessible experience for fans student-athletes and the broader community. This role oversees daily website and app operations including performance monitoring troubleshooting content updates and integrations while collaborating with internal staff and external partners to align digital strategies with departmental goals. Leveraging data and analytics the Digital Platforms Manager drives digital engagement supports marketing initiatives and strengthens Wisconsin Athletics brand presence requiring a balance of technical expertise creative problem-solving and strategic planning in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with university NCAA and accessibility standards.
Key Focus Areas:
Responsible for planning implementing managing monitoring and upgrading and the Badgers app.
Responsible for troubleshooting all website and app issues.
Conduct regular content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information on the website.
Create appropriate website content aligned with the organizations strategy at the direction of the Head of Brand Marketing.
Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
Improve the user experience of the website regularly.
Collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that the website aligns with brand strategy and revenue growth.
Work with external partners including SIDEARM and other integrations.
Leverage data to make informed decisions and identify industry and user trends.
Create strategies to grow app users and web traffic metrics.
Help develop and implement the push notification strategy for the Badgers app.
Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.
Athletics Brand Marketing
The minimum salary is $65449 depending on qualifications and experience.
Minimum 2 years of work experience as a website manager.
Strong understanding and experience with HTML CSS and content management systems.
Ability to troubleshoot website and app issues in a fast-paced environment.
Great understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
Excellent content creation and writing skills.
Experience with SIDEARM and support of NCAA Division I Athletics digital tools.
Project management ability with strong time management and multi-tasking skills.
Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset and solid problem-solving skills.
Exposure to responsive design techniques.
Commitment to delivering user-friendly creative and accessible designs.
Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop for editing photos/graphics).
Copyediting experience.
Experience with Google Analytics.
Bachelors degree preferred
