Job Summary
Your Opportunity:
Chewy is looking for an Art Director to join our brand/creative team and work side-by-side with passionate pet lovers! The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving creative direction developing multi-channel campaigns and ensuring consistent storytelling across all assets. This role requires strong conceptual thinking leadership and the ability to implement high-quality visual work while maintaining brand consistency and evolving creative strategies.
What Youll Do:
- Develop and manage multi-channel creative campaigns in partnership with cross-functional teams ensuring strategic alignment with marketing goals.
- Lead conceptual design direction and the development and execution of compelling brand-forward creative assets with a video-first approach.
- Ideate and concept video storytelling including scripting storyboarding and guiding visual development to match the emotional and structural arc of the content
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels while evolving visual storytelling to meet growing business needs.
- Provide creative direction for photography and video shoots ensuring visually engaging content that aligns with Chewys brand identity.
- Partner with collaborators including Creative Directors marketing teams and leadership to develop innovative creative strategies.
- Work with a team of designers and collaborate with writers content strategists and production teams to implement high-quality work efficiently.
- Analyze performance data and campaign insights to optimize creative strategies and influence future design decisions.
- Collaborate closely with Copywriters Producers and Studio teams to ensure creative alignment across all touchpoints
What Youll Need:
- 5 years of experience designing for an agency or brand with a strong portfolio showcasing multi-channel creative campaigns.
- Expertise in art direction branding visual storytelling and digital content creation across various platforms.
- Strong typography layout and design skills with a deep understanding of brand identity and marketing strategy.
- Ability to problem-solve creatively troubleshoot design challenges and provide strategic solutions.
- Experience leading photo and video production with an eye for composition lighting and storytelling.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Figma and other industry-standard design tools.
- Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to mentor designers and collaborate across departments.
- Ability to internalize Chewys brand voice and creative guidelines while pushing the creative envelope in a strategic way.
