Position Summary:
Benchmark School is seeking a qualified and compassionate part-time ELL (English Language Learner) Teacher to support a small number of multilingual learners with English language development. This role is ideal for an experienced educator looking to make a meaningful impact in a flexible limited-hour position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and/or language support to ELL students (1-2 hours weekly).
- Assess language proficiency and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to ensure instructional alignment and student success.
- Maintain brief documentation of services and student progress.
- Communicate as needed with families and staff about student language development.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification with ESL/ELL endorsement (preferred).
- Experience working with English language learners in a school setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Additional Information:
- This is a contracted or hourly position.
- The schedule is flexible within the school day (8 AM - 3 PM) to be arranged with school leadership.
