This position is located in Preclinical Chemistry Manufacturing and Controls (pCMC) a department within the synthetic molecule research organization in pRED Therapeutic Modalities where we pave in a diverse ambitious and innovative environment the path to bring drug candidates from early research into development.
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated (Senior) Scientist to join our oligonucleotides process development this role you will have the unique opportunity to shape the future direction of our oligonucleotide manufacturing capabilities by establishing and optimizing innovative synthetic processes for our oligonucleotides pipeline. Therefore we are looking for a creative and hands-on Scientist for this laboratory-focused position where you will have the autonomy to ideate design and execute experiments in order to solve complex chemical challenges with innovative and alternative technologies such as biocatalysis and solution phase oligonucleotide synthesis.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Scout evaluate and implement new and innovative technologies such as biocatalysis and solution phase synthesis methodologies to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
Independently design plan and execute laboratory experiments to develop and optimize novel synthetic routes for oligonucleotide APIs.
Analyze and interpret analytical data to understand reaction performance.
Maintain a detailed and accurate record of all experimental work in an electronic lab notebook and author technical reports summaries and presentations.
Work effectively within a cross-functional environment collaborating with colleagues from different departments to ensure seamless project progression.
You hold a PhD in Organic Chemistry or a closely related discipline. Alternatively Masters degree and at least three years of industrial experience in a process development group focused on oligonucleotide synthesis can also be considered.
You have proven ability to independently design execute and interpret complex laboratory experiments. A proactive results-driven mindset combined with excellent problem-solving skills is essential.
Strong communication skills and fluency in English both written and spoken are required. Direct hands-on experience in the synthesis purification and analysis of oligonucleotides is considered a strong advantage.
