Hours: 36 hours per week (3-12 hour shifts per week)
Graduate Nurse provides basic patient care under the close supervision of a registered nurse (RN) actively learning and gaining practical experience in a clinical setting as a newly graduated nurse.
Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Assist in the assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed ensuring adherence to safety protocols and nursing standards.
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on health management post-discharge care and lifestyle modifications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control policies.
- Support patients with daily living activities ensuring their comfort and dignity.
Additional Job Description
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Required Licensure/Certification: Provisional/Temporary Graduate Nurse license with the South Carolina Board of Nursing. Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA)
