SUMMARY

Assist design/production engineers with multiple tasks involving the systems (communications) engineering functions at Frontline Communications in Clearwater FL.

YOUR IMPACT

• Prepare vehicle component layouts using CAD software i.e. AutoCAD.

• Select parts or components for quality conscious design i.e. weight cost reliability and ease of manufacturing.

• Follow project on the assembly floor for prototype pilot or production build and provide technical with suppliers customers and internal departments to find solutions to problems.

• Perform or assist in the testing of complete vehicles or vehicle components.
• Design model and test new communication systems components related to audio video network and radio communications that integrate with a vehicle.

• Update bill of materials to reflect product changes.

• Set up and configure IP addresses serial communication mobile command centers.

• All other duties or projects as assigned.

*Job duties will vary depending on business unit and location of internship.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Student working towards a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or other related engineering field for entire duration of internship.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS

• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Experience in extracurricular activities outside academic requirements.

• Previous internship experience or work-related experience.

• Experience using AutoCAD or DraftSight is a plus.
• Fundamental knowledge of networking and subnetting is desirable.

• Previous experience or heightened interest in communications systems design.
