Job Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for executing Sales projects within Innovation from project kick-off to releasing the engineering drawing package and specifications. You translate the needs of international customers into innovative logistically optimized and reliable systems for our customers. Project Engineer is responsible for the technical integrity of the system Marel delivers to the customers. The scope of a project can vary from a small production system to a complete line. For larger projects this includes the cooperation with several international engineering locations the planning and coordination of team members and managing the stakeholders from Sales and Project Management.
In the future develop into a driven team lead that combines the responsibility of a project engineer with leading a small team of project engineers or leading cross-functional project teams.
Main Tasks
- Be the primary link between Sales and Innovation in the order to cash process
- Pro actively seek cross region collaboration with peers
- Based on the proposal layout and the functional description take care of the detailed engineering specifications to complete the order layout in a highly standardized and CTO environment
- Ensure project engineering according global guidelines and ways of working in good cooperation with other global teams.
- Review configurations of standard equipment from Sales Engineering prior to production
- Create and manage time-lines to achieve targets
- Responsibility for creating and making the order/technical specification for the equipment/system solutions according to CTO (Configure to Order)
- Responsibility for creating the engineering drawing package consisting of detailed layout and technical specification for the customer and the required information for successive installation by Marel
- Responsible for the transfer of the complete order-engineering package to Project Management and Order Engineering

- Strong communication skills; work with customers and co-workers in a courteous and tactful manner
- Ability to deliver results and meet customers expectations
Education Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor degree in engineering preferably in mechanical engineering
- At least two years experience in a similar job
- Experience with Layout engineering applications
- Strong English skills both written and verbal is required and you can easily connect and communicate with people
- Experience with and comfort working in multi-cultural multi-discipline organization is an advantage
