Job Description
A Brief Overview:
As a Physician - Hospitalist you will be an integral part of our hospitals medical team responsible for the comprehensive care and management of patients during their hospital stay. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and recovery of our patients.
What you will do:
- Providing high-quality evidence-based medical care to patients admitted to the hospital including initial assessments diagnosis and treatment.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals including specialists nurses and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitoring and managing the medical conditions of inpatients adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Performing procedures and interventions as required such as central line placement intubation and lumbar punctures.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records including progress notes orders and discharge summaries.
- Communicating effectively with patients and their families providing information about diagnoses treatment options and expectations for recovery.
- Participating in daily patient rounds case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to review and coordinate patient care.
- Staying current with medical knowledge research and best practices through continuous professional development and education.
