At Alfa Laval we are seeking a Data Configuration Engineer to join our global R&D this role you will work closely with engineers technical designers and machinists across our 60-person global organization helping ensure our product configurators are precise efficient and scalable.
As a Data Configuration Engineer you will be based onsite at our office in Kolding and you will focus on building implementing and maintaining configuration systems. Your work will include:
- Model new and existing products in our configurator systems
- Maintain and improve complex product models within the configurator
- Handle analyze and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy
- Support and further develop configuration tools and in-house applications
- Implement new products and updates into the configurator
- Contribute to the further development of the configurator platform
- Participate in projects involving data management and maintenance in ERP and PDM systems
- Travel approximately 1020 days per year expected.
What you bring
- A technical background (e.g. Computer Science Mechanical Engineering) with strong IT/data skills
- Sharp analytical abilities and confidence working with complex data structures
- High level of accuracy and pride in data quality
- Proficiency in Excel and other data-handling tools for analysis and reporting
- Experience with configuration tools (e.g. Tacton) ERP systems and PLM/PDM systems (e.g. TeamCenter) is a plus.
- Experience participating in and managing projects
- Strong communication skills in Danish and English written and spoken
