Summit Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled PKI Technical Lead Engineer (PKI-TLE) to serve as Key Personnel supporting a federal program. The PKI-TLE will be responsible for architectural design performance and integration of systems across the solution lifecycle. Serving as the programs primary technical point-of-contact the PKI-TLE will oversee system design testing and integration activities to ensure compliance with technical and security requirements. This role will lead the contractor team in applying security-focused systems engineering practices aligned with federal standards such as NIST 800-160 while ensuring cost-effective high-performing and secure solutions. This position will be an on-site role at the designated primary location five (5) days a week unless otherwise agreed upon by the Government. You must have a DoD Top Secret Clearance. This is for a proposal that is in its early stages and this contract has not been awarded yet.
Responsibilities
- Act as the contractors technical point-of-contact for the program coordinating with the Program Manager and Government stakeholders.
- Oversee and validate all design integration and testing of systems prior to deployment into production environments.
- Ensure systems meet all technical performance and security requirements throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Lead the contractor team in implementing security-focused systems engineering practices ensuring alignment with NIST 800-160 and evolving industry and federal best practices.
- Perform and ensure comprehensive analysis and engineering services including functional design analysis with cost-performance tradeoffs to optimize infrastructure investments.
- Provide technical oversight to the operations team to maintain highly available reliable and secure infrastructure along with accurate documentation.
- Monitor the overall functionality scalability and performance of systems to proactively address risks or issues.
- Collaborate with the Program Manager on transition-in and transition-out plans ensuring smooth and comprehensive program transitions.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience managing full lifecycle IT projects with comparable scope technologies and key personnel leadership.
- 5 years of hands-on experience designing implementing and operating PKI-related programs in federal or commercial environments.
- Demonstrated experience in system architecture integration testing and performance optimization.
- Proven expertise in leading teams that incorporate secure engineering principles throughout all lifecycle phases.
- Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills with experience interfacing with both technical and executive stakeholders.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related discipline.
- In lieu of a degree an additional 5 years of experience managing full lifecycle IT projects with similar technologies may be substituted.
- Current operating system networking and security certifications (examples: Microsoft Linux Cisco CompTIA Security CISSP or equivalent).
Clearance Requirements
- Must have a DoD Top Secret Clearance based on program requirements.
