About the Job
The Red Hat Customer Content Services team seeks a Technical Writer in Raleigh NC to join the Hybrid Cloud Experience documentation this role you will be part of a team developing and delivering content promoting Red Hats customer success. Drawing from your passion for technology and communication you will create and be responsible for customer-facing technical documentation for Red Hat products.
What You Will Do
Work closely with content strategists documentation program managers engineering teams support teams and other stakeholders to create and maintain accurate high-quality documentation for target audiences within scheduled timelines
Actively participate in meetings to stay on top of developments and to advocate for the user
Respond to customer feedback to address content gaps and promote continuous improvement of the documentation experience
Collaborate across various writing teams to help improve processes for content creation delivery and maintenance
Provide feedback and mentor other technical writers to improve the quality and consistency of our content
Keep up to date on changes to our toolchain versioning systems offerings customer use cases support issues and business strategy
Devote time to research and increase your understanding of your product area including related trends and topics in artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning (ML) and machine learning operations (MLOps)
Explore and experiment with emerging AI technologies relevant to documentation development proactively identifying opportunities to incorporate new AI capabilities into existing workflows and tooling
What You Will Bring
Ability to independently conduct research and collaborate with technical and subject matter experts to produce and improve documentation
Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts concisely
Proficiency in modular authoring and version control systems
Experience with software and documentation development life cycles
Experience writing documentation to meet accessibility and usability requirements
Experience using a writing style guide
Familiarity with structured topic-based authoring and information architecture
Knowledge of AI ML and MLOps concepts and technologies
The following are considered a plus:
Knowledge of open source philosophies and Red Hat products
Hands-on experience with Linux
Hands-on experience with GitHub
Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in the context of product documentation
Experience in leading cross-team initiatives and mentoring writers
Familiarity with agile software development
Experience with DITA

The salary range for this position is $75320.00 - $120480.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location experience applicable skills and training external market value and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hats compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus commission and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
