RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Payroll Assistant is responsible for overseeing and performing daily tasks related to the timely processing of weekly payroll. Responsibilities include working with the payroll team to calculate daily and weekly time cards importing and auditing electronic data into the payroll system processing weekly deductions or garnishments and ensuring successful paper check or ACH processing. Through training the Lead Payroll Assistant will learn to operate various computer programs in addition to completing other administrative and accounting-related tasks. These duties will include performing audits verifications and reporting such as processing W2s and unemployment data. The ideal candidate must possess a high mathematical aptitude with the ability to ensure confidentiality and accuracy through the full payroll cycle. The ability to work in a team environment and establish positive working relationships with various departments is essential for ensuring efficient accounting processing and business operations.
