As a Manager of Indirect Procurement at Micron Technology Inc. you will join our team in Indirect Procurement managing a team of Category Supplier Managers in North America at one of the worlds largest semiconductor companies.

Responsibilities:
CollaborationYou will collaborate with internal customers and external suppliers crafting strategies to ensure a robust and efficient supply chain. This position partners with internal customers and Global Procurement to develop and implement category strategies and related projects that will be executed by your team including cost reduction supply base optimization and contract negotiations.
SourcingYou will guide and manage a team who source solutions and services for MRO spares facilities services and varied service offerings while operating within established processes to conduct RFx activities and apply demand management. You will directly be responsible for category management of calibration/measurement services.
StrategyYou will be an important part of our teams work to guide the business and your team to build category strategies to drive savings value assurance of supply quality and supplier performance within your assigned categories.
NegotiationYou will take the lead in identifying and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and will partner with our Legal team to complete contracts for certain categories while training and coaching your team to build these key skills. Your ability to drive alignment with team members and develop negotiation strategies will be critical for success.
ManagementYou will manage Microns relationship with key suppliers and have responsibility for holding suppliers accountable resolving issues and improving supplier performance. Internally this includes developing and leading a team of Category Supplier Managers for North America.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years proven experience in strategic sourcing or similar roles preferred
Experience in negotiations and willingness to engage in critical conversations and advocate for Microns interests
Experience in contract redlining/reviewing (including Service Agreements and Statements of Work Software licensing)
Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives managers and subject matter experts
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors/Masters Degree in Business Business Administration/ Management Engineering Supply Chain Management Finance Economics or similar fields of study preferred
Ability to independently work well in a dynamic environment that requires a high degree of multitasking
Prior management experience is a plus
