The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) National Systems Programs (NSP) software capability is seeking a DevSecOps Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior) in Kent Washington. This position includes working with cloud infrastructure development pipelines and deployment pipelines.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter enjoys working collaboratively with others and has a commitment to customer satisfaction and process improvement. The candidate should be adaptable to new development environments and eager to work with and learn new technologies. The selected candidates responsibilities will include optimizing the DevSecOps infrastructure deploying and managing multi-cluster environments troubleshooting issues and performing cost analysis.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop document and maintain standardized efficient and innovative processes tools methodologies and performance metrics to streamline the software engineering lifecycle and enable continuous integration delivery and deployment of safety critical software
Automate develop monitor improve and troubleshoot across software engineering development tooling testing integration deployment configuration processes and security controls
Analyze plan and execute mitigation strategies to prevent potential security risks threats and vulnerabilities
Implement an environment that enables high levels of quality safety compliance and continuous improvement across the organization
Support collaboration with cross functional teams to build and maintain robust scalable and secure software engineering systems
Implement current and emerging technologies tools frameworks and regulations in the software engineering DevSecOps environment
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
5 years of experience in development frameworks cloud native technologies and tools such as CI/CD pipelines UML Docker Kubernetes JavaScript AWS/Azure Cloud
3 years of experience automating software builds unit tests integration tests deployment and installations using a DevOps tool chain (Jenkins Nexus Artifactory etc.)
3 years of experience with Python scripting
Experience with software development in a collaborative team environment using agile principles and structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
Experience with: GITLAB Jenkins Kubernetes AWS Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Docker
Experience with GIT/SCM Principles
Software Development Environment Administration (Dependency Management Pypi Conda etc)
