Job Description

Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Concord NH - In office position

Summary

Under the supervision of the department director or manager the Application Analyst 3 is responsible for the implementation support and continuous improvement of Concord Hospitals information systems. The Application Analyst 3 is a senior level position and thus demonstrates complete mastery of the skills and responsibilities of the position and has sufficient expertise to serve as a resource to junior staff members. The Application Analyst 3 will be assigned specific information system product responsibilities commensurate with his or her background and the organizations needs.

Education

Four years of formal training or education beyond the high school level (e.g. Bachelors Degree). Some positions may require nursing licensure.

Certification Registration & Licensure

None required.

Experience

Five or more years experience implementing and supporting healthcare information systems.

Responsibilities

  • Leads plans or participates in IT projects.

  • Serves as nursing informatics analyst.

  • Coordinates IT technical and client support resources.

  • Maintains responsibility for assigned products including integration with other applications. Demonstrates

    knowledge of interfacing network database desktop servers redundancy availability and security.

  • Follows policy/procedure for support of Information Systems. Handles problem escalations from

    departmental IT resources and is accountable for problem resolution.

  • Understands business/clinical operations and work flow and anticipates how system features changes or

    issues will impact end-users. Anticipates product direction and understands impact to organization.

  • Follows IT project tracking and IT change management processes.

  • Plans designs creates and maintains configurable aspects of assigned systems ex. forms reports

    tables parameters.

  • Creates and maintains IT system documentation per the IT Documentation Policy.

  • Performs quality assurance testing inclusive of functional integration interface and redundancy/reliability

    testing.

  • Manages vendor relationships inclusive of obtaining and negotiating proposals escalating issues and

    planning for future systems.

  • Provides mentorship to IT staff members.

  • Endorses supports and champions the outcomes of ITS process improvement initiatives.

  • Participates in IT administrative on call rotation.

  • Complies with ITS Policies and Procedures.
