Job DescriptionA sonographer uses ultrasound high-frequency sound waves to take images of the bodys internal organs and tissues to assist doctors with diagnosing and monitoring a variety of conditions and diseases. A sonographer is also known as a diagnostic medical sonographer or an ultrasound technician.

Education: Graduation from a school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Work Experience: 2-4 years. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
