Job Summary
Medical Assistant-Day Shift
Location: Needham MA 02494
Duration: 26 Weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift: Day Shift (8) - 8:00 start
Weekly Pay Rate: $960 - $1120; (Negotiable based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Perform patient intake including rooming patients measuring vital signs and recording medical histories
- Administer EKGs and assist with basic procedures as directed by providers
- Complete prior authorizations for medications and treatments
- Provide patient education and instruction as directed by providers
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately
- Handle administrative duties such as answering phones scheduling and managing messages
- Maintain exam rooms stock medical supplies and ensure a clean and safe environment
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant Certification is required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or primary care setting.
- Certification: BLS (required).
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with EMR systems and basic computer skills
