Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW The Director of Sales and Business Development helps generate new business by prospecting through accounts to identify potential buyers and qualifying leads. The Director of Sales and Business Development is an expert of the telecom and electric industry to grasp new business opportunities with existing or new connections and use multiple ways to generate prospects. The Director of Sales and Business Development plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding the market presence of the company DEPARTMENT
Sales and Service KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Understanding the Market and Identifying Potential Opportunities Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities. Analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes. 2. Strategic Planning Develops and implements a comprehensive sales & marketing strategy that aligns with the companys overall goals and objectives. Identifies market trends opportunities and threats to refine sales strategies accordingly. 3. Plan develop and Manage Sales & Business Development Activities Develop & manage sales & business development plans such as customer visits sales meetings conferences trade shows promotional events product launches... Continuously establish and develop business relationships with potential and new customers expanding sales coverage Maintain close relationships and communication with existing key accounts to understand their needs regarding technical financial logistic and marketing support and organize internal resources to meet those needs and identify new business opportunities Develop new sales areas and markets to expand the Companys market share and increase the companys valuable customers. Stay up to date with market information including competitors and customers benchmarking and technical and financial market requirements Researches plans and improves the sales and marketing process Provide Voice of the Customer feedback to the organization and drive continuous improvement efforts focused on the customers. 4. Team Management Guide motivate and encourage the team to meet or exceed assigned goals Work with account manager solution manager and fulfillment manager within the customer group team and other teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives. 5. Budget Management Develop and manage budgets related to business development activities. Monitor and report on the financial performance of business development initiatives. 6. Reporting and Analysis Provide regular reports on business development activities pipeline and outcomes. Analyze key performance indicators to measure the success of business development efforts. QUALIFICATIONS Four-year College degree required. 5 years of business development experience in telecom / electrical / energy required. Must possess knowledge of sales and business development. Experience working on the sales side of the telecom / electric/renewable energy industry. Team player: ability to work well with others within the department and with other departments. Travel is required. Project management and Engineering background required. WORKING CONDITIONS While performing the responsibilities of the Business Development Manager job the noise level in the work environment is typically quiet. Cubicles and workshops are in an open environment set-up. The physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions such as sitting talking and hearing. The employee is frequently required to use their hands to handle type or feel. The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close distance color and peripheral vision with depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus. This is an in-person full-time position in Plano TX.
