Job Summary

Business Analyst with QA Experience Candidate needs to be Local

Position Summary

The Business Analyst is responsible for collecting and documenting requirements to build a new application/enhance an existing application. The Analyst meets with stakeholders to understand business processes and their needs translates them to a business/functional/Data requirement document; creates a workflow diagram communicates requirements and data flow to technical staff. They work with Developers to get the requirements implemented; they test the application conduct UAT and provide on-site deployment support.

A Business Analyst position has a dual role; they will be testing applications as well.

Essential Functions

  • Proficient in Scheduling meetings to gather analyze and document business and software requirements from stakeholders.
  • Analyze business processes and translate business needs into clear actionable user stories use cases functional specifications and Test Cases.
  • Communicate requirements clearly to developers Testers and Stakeholders.
  • Proficient in creating various Diagrams: Process Flows State Activity Sequence Swim lanes Wireframes etc.
  • Act as a Liaison between business users and IT Teams.
  • Proficient in doing Walkthroughs and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Proficient in creating Training Documents Training users and providing support after a release.
  • Collaborate with Developers and QA to ensure the solution aligns with business Goals.
  • Maintains professional composure while communicating clearly with stakeholders developers and testers.
  • Ability to test applications both functional Testing and regression Testing.
  • Ability to convert Requirements into Test cases.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including
    • Ability to work with subject matter experts to address their needs
    • Communicating with software developers business analysts and testers succinctly.
  • Demonstrated experience working on teams of varying sizes on complex projects and demanding timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone on projects from start to finish.

Must have technical skills:

    • SharePoint Online (Office 365)
    • Microsoft Teams
    • GitLab or other Git repositories JIRA
    • Balsamiq or any other design tools
    • Visio
