Responsibilities

Ensures food preparation is in accordance with planned menus and in sufficient quantities
Ensures food is properly stored and the proper temperature is maintained in hot and cold food items
Inspects work areas daily to ensure they are kept well organized and clean including store room refrigerators freezers service areas and dining rooms
Ensures food is handled in a sanitary manner including receipt preparation and storage including checking food temperature log daily to ensure appropriate temperature is maintained and logged in accordance with health regulations
Check equipment daily to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation techniques are followed
Assist Supervisor with ordering stocking and inventory as needed
As needed wash dishes sweep and mop floors remove trash clean and sanitize tables and service areas
Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
Engage with residents during mealtimes to foster a welcoming and friendly dining environment.
Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas including washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand daily menus and any special dietary needs of residents.
Report any resident concerns or feedback regarding meals to the dietary manager for continuous improvement.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain
High School Diploma
Valid State Drivers License
