Responsibilities
- Ensures food preparation is in accordance with planned menus and in sufficient quantities
- Ensures food is properly stored and the proper temperature is maintained in hot and cold food items
- Inspects work areas daily to ensure they are kept well organized and clean including store room refrigerators freezers service areas and dining rooms
- Ensures food is handled in a sanitary manner including receipt preparation and storage including checking food temperature log daily to ensure appropriate temperature is maintained and logged in accordance with health regulations
- Check equipment daily to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation techniques are followed
- Assist Supervisor with ordering stocking and inventory as needed
- As needed wash dishes sweep and mop floors remove trash clean and sanitize tables and service areas
- Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
- Engage with residents during mealtimes to foster a welcoming and friendly dining environment.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas including washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand daily menus and any special dietary needs of residents.
- Report any resident concerns or feedback regarding meals to the dietary manager for continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain
- High School Diploma
- Valid State Drivers License
