Job Description
Position Summary: In collaboration with Site Director develop and teach the curriculum for students identified for participation in the True Blue Neighbors Youth Scholars ( TBNYS ) program. Job Responsibilities: Develop lesson plans using curricula. Prepare for and provide instruction for two hours per day three days per week. Provide tutoring and remedial instruction as needed during program hours. Communicates in planning to ensure program supports and compliments school day academics. Manage regularly assigned classes. Participate in family engagement events and activities. Comply with all TBNYS policies and procedures. Attend required program meetings. Provide a safe equitable learning environment for students of all racial cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
Physical Demands
Employees must be able to walk stand and sit during program and training sessions. Light occasional lifting up to 10 lbs.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree with an appropriate teaching certificate Some teaching experience is required. Computer literacy
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree Bilingual in English/Spanish
