Production Electrical Technician
Location: Chesapeake VA
Overview
Join our team supporting the production of Navy Environmental Equipment where precision safety and quality are paramount. As a Production Electrical Technician youll play a critical role in electrical installations equipment assembly and shipboard integrationensuring timely delivery of mission-ready systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
Execute electrical and mechanical assembly tasks in alignment with production schedules
Coordinate installation activity of electricians assigned to production activity
Conduct quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Testing to validate product integrity
Perform shipboard installation of electronic systems as required
Travel to field sites for troubleshooting and upkeep of Navy equipment
Maintain accurate production records and verify deliverables against contract specifications
Maintain reports and objective quality evidence of production in required electronic file format
Tag inventory and kit materials to support production workflows
Identify and resolve production issues to maintain operational efficiency
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma
4 years of experience installing Navy shipboard electrical systems
12 years of experience leading small teams in technical environments (production manufacturing assembly or construction)
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality standards and documentation practices
Certified in copper and fiber optic termination
Proficient in reading and interpreting MILSPEC drawings
