At ourCascades Bear Island facility inAshland VAyou candevelop your full potential sustainablyby applying your expertise within the Packaging sectoras theMechanical Project Leader:

  • Provide engineering support fortroubleshooting mechanical issues transitioning into project leadership once root causes are identified
  • Lead and manageconcurrent mechanical projects from planning through execution within our papermill
  • Develop and maintainproject plans including the creation of work orders and scheduling using planning tools
  • Overseevendor engagement including obtaining and evaluating quotations
  • Ensure timely execution of projects with a strong focus onpost-RCA (Root Cause Analysis)implementation andpriority setting
  • Review and updatepredictive maintenance plans in collaboration with maintenance teams in the CMMS (SAP)
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure project alignment with operational goals
  • Maintain a high standard of safety quality and efficiency throughout all project phases
  • Continuously improve established maintenance processes including Defect Handling and Breakdown Elimination

You too put forward your strengths:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience as a maintenance reliability and or engineering technician leading projects in an industrial setting
  • Proficient in utilizing a CMMS to enhance operational efficiency and streamline maintenance processes
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States will be considered a definite asset
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills to interpret evaluate and analyze facts and information to support problem solving
  • Ability to overcome ambiguous and complex situations with an open mind considering creative and standard processes.
  • Proficiency inproject planning tools such as MS Project
  • Excellentcommunication skillswith the ability to engage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Experience and understanding of Lean Production System principle
