At ourCascades Bear Island facility inAshland VAyou candevelop your full potential sustainablyby applying your expertise within the Packaging sectoras theMechanical Project Leader:
- Provide engineering support fortroubleshooting mechanical issues transitioning into project leadership once root causes are identified
- Lead and manageconcurrent mechanical projects from planning through execution within our papermill
- Develop and maintainproject plans including the creation of work orders and scheduling using planning tools
- Overseevendor engagement including obtaining and evaluating quotations
- Ensure timely execution of projects with a strong focus onpost-RCA (Root Cause Analysis)implementation andpriority setting
- Review and updatepredictive maintenance plans in collaboration with maintenance teams in the CMMS (SAP)
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure project alignment with operational goals
- Maintain a high standard of safety quality and efficiency throughout all project phases
- Continuously improve established maintenance processes including Defect Handling and Breakdown Elimination

You too put forward your strengths:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years experience as a maintenance reliability and or engineering technician leading projects in an industrial setting
- Proficient in utilizing a CMMS to enhance operational efficiency and streamline maintenance processes
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the United States will be considered a definite asset
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills to interpret evaluate and analyze facts and information to support problem solving
- Ability to overcome ambiguous and complex situations with an open mind considering creative and standard processes.
- Proficiency inproject planning tools such as MS Project
- Excellentcommunication skillswith the ability to engage cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Experience and understanding of Lean Production System principle
