What to expect
A challenging internship that involves communication with both internal- and external clients with always that same goal in mind: to let the purchasing process run as smooth as possible against the best price available within the market while achieving the highest quality standards. HSM manages the procurement of goods and services for 160 hotels in the Benelux region. This includes all Hilton managed and leased properties as well as other franchisee and third-party a team of 10 energetic and young team members we give you the opportunity to seek for new and innovative possibilities within all aspects of Supply Management. Your office is located at Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
What else will you be doing
No week is the same: depending on what projects are running at that moment your to-do list varies greatly from week to week. To begin with you will start visiting several hotels in order to meet the people you will be in contact with during your internship. Tasks vary from daily fixed tasks to incoming requests from both internal- and external clients. Examples of these tasks are: supporting the internal stakeholders with the purchasing system handling requests for new suppliers analysing purchasing data in order to discover new procurement opportunities and getting in contact with suppliers in order to get access to new products or services. You will also encounter larger projects and events during your internship such as the trade fairs and tender processes.
Who are you
Curious about the details that no-one else thinks of and being self-organising are two important traits to have. You have an interest in analytics and like to build and maintain relationships with both internal- and external clients. Fluency in the English language is therefore a skill you cannot do without.
